Licensed massage therapists work in a range of settings, from spas and wellness centers to physical therapy clinics, chiropractic offices, and private practice. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment of massage therapists will grow much faster than average, reflecting increased demand for massage services as more people become aware of the health benefits of massage therapy.

Educational Outcomes/Settings

Upon completion of the Massage Therapy certificate program at Columbia College, graduates are prepared to take the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx), which is required for licensure in Virginia and most other states.

Our graduates are prepared to take the MBLEx certification and begin their careers.
