The Cosmetology Program at Columbia College prepares students for exciting careers in the dynamic beauty industry through hands-on training and classroom instruction. Career Outlines
The beauty industry continues to grow with strong demand for licensed cosmetologists. Career opportunities include salon stylist, makeup artist, esthetician, nail technician, and salon owner. Graduates may work in salons, spas, hotels, resorts, television and film, fashion industry, and more.
Educational Outcomes/Settings
Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the state cosmetology licensing examination administered by the Virginia Board for Barbers and Cosmetology.
Program exceeds Virginia state licensing hour requirements.
