New State-of-the-Art Dental Lab Equipment Unveiled

Columbia College DC unveils brand-new CAD/CAM dental equipment, enhancing the learning experience for our Dental Laboratory Technology students.

Columbia College DC is proud to announce the installation of cutting-edge CAD/CAM dental technology equipment in our Dental Laboratory. This significant investment in our facilities underscores our commitment to providing students with the most current, industry-relevant training available.

What's New: The new equipment includes:
  • Ivoclar PrograMill One milling machine
  • 3Shape TRIOS 4 intraoral scanner
  • Asiga MAX UV 3D printer
  • Modern articulation systems

Impact on Students: Students enrolled in our Dental Laboratory Technology program will now have hands-on experience with the same equipment used in top dental laboratories across the country. This exposure is invaluable when entering the job market.

Industry Partnership: This upgrade was made possible in part through a generous donation from a leading dental technology company, reflecting their confidence in our program and commitment to workforce development in the DMV region.

Faculty Response: "This new equipment will transform the way our students learn," said Dr. Maria Chen, Program Director of Dental Laboratory Technology. "They will graduate fully prepared to work with the technology they will encounter in their careers."

The new equipment is now available for use in the Spring 2026 semester.
